About Us
Department of Robotics and AI Engineering
In alignment with Thailand's national agenda for technological advancement, specifically the Thailand 4.0 initiative and the development of New S-Curve industries, the International Program in Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics and AI Engineering (RAI) at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) has been established in 2018 to address the growing demand for highly skilled professionals in these critical fields.
This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and rigorous education that integrates foundational theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-relevant applications, thereby ensuring graduates are prepared to contribute effectively to the rapidly evolving sectors of robotics and artificial intelligence.
The program was originally offered within the School of International and Interdisciplinary Engineering Programs (SIIE), but it was later separated into the Department of Robotics and AI Engineering in 2022. The program's pedagogical approach emphasizes experiential learning through collaborative projects with industry partners, including a long-standing research collaboration with Seagate Technology (Thailand) Ltd. spanning over two decades.
Instruction is delivered by experienced faculty and industry professionals, ensuring students are exposed to current best practices and emerging technologies. The curriculum utilizes 21st century learning techniques to develop students' creative thinking, critical analysis, leadership, decision-making, and communication abilities.
