Research projects
Our research spans mobile robotics, AI vision systems, manufacturing automation, and embedded intelligence, with strong industry collaborations including a 20+ year partnership with Seagate Technology.
Bogie Waiter Robot
A 40x40 cm serving robot for Thailand's 'Beyond Horizon' super-luxury train, engineered to serve food while the train is in motion.
Autonomous Vehicles for Cleanroom
Autonomous intelligent vehicles for cleanroom environments, developed in collaboration with Seagate Technology Thailand.
HSA Vision & Metrology
Vision system for Head Stacks Assembly metrology tools and loading/unloading systems.
Copper Clad Laminate Inspection
Surface defect detection system funded by Thai Laminate Manufacturer Co., Ltd.
Railway Inspection System
Wheel-rail lateral movement detection using image processing and machine learning for Bangkok Airport Rail Link.
Sensor Fusion for Autonomous Robots
Research on LiDAR and iBeacon sensor fusion for autonomous robot navigation.
Facilities
Labs & equipment
Our department operates dedicated robotics labs across two buildings, equipped with industrial-grade hardware for hands-on learning from the first year onward.

Industrial Robot Lab
Over five advanced articulated robots from leading brands like ABB and Mitsubishi Electric, equipped with sophisticated grippers and pneumatic systems for hands-on learning from the first year.
3D Printer Farm
Supports the Drawing curriculum, enabling students to materialize their design concepts rather than relying solely on simulations. Integral to freshman-year robot competition projects.

Robotics Lab
A dedicated robotics workspace for student projects and research, providing workbenches, electronic equipment, and testing areas for building and programming robots.

Automation Lab
Features Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and scaled-down machinery models — a cornerstone of hands-on learning offering realistic exposure to industrial automation and machine control scenarios.
